Department of Pharmaceutical Analysis
The department of Pharmaceutical Analysis was established in the year 2008. The Department of Pharmaceutical analysis is actively involved in imparting quality education to the students, especially training students in analytical skills and preparing them for industrial carriers. The Department of Pharmaceutical analysis aims to focus on the development of analytical methods using new combinations of established instrumentation and approaches. It involves basic research in identity, purity, content and stability of starting materials, excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The department is involved in teaching and training post graduate students, in the subjects of analytical sciences pertaining to qualitative and quantitative estimation of natural and synthetic compounds in various matrices by application of spectroscopy, chromatography and analytical methods. The department is also recognized for the conduct of Ph D research program. The departmental activities are supported by well qualified and trained academicians.
The Department has collaborated with various consultancies for doing projects in UV, FTIR and HPLC based analytical method development and validation. This research in Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance resulted into generating valuable information that had been published in national and international journals.
The Department has collaborated with leading pharmaceutical companies for projects in analytical method development and manufacturing process validation. Some of these include Pfizer Ltd, Vizag, Biocon Ltd, Vizag, Medreich Pharma, Bangalore, Hetero Pharma, Hyderabad, Cronus Pharma, Hyderabad, MSN Laboratory, Hyderabad, Alfred E. Tiefenbacher, Hyderabad, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, Hyderabad, Strides Arcolab, Bangalore, Astra Zeneca, Bangalore.
This fruitful collaboration has resulted in generating invaluable information and data that has been published in national and international journals and papers.
