The Department of Pharmacy Practice, established in 2008, is a beacon of excellence in pharmacy education. It is committed to empowering students to master comprehensive medication management and deliver outstanding patient care. The department also focuses on honing students’ leadership abilities and fostering a commitment to continuous learning. We offer a wide range of clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management, drug safety, patient education, etc., all of which underscore our mission to shape exceptional practitioners.

We have been providing hands-on training to our Pharm.D. students at our collaborative hospital, Rural Development Trust Hospital (RDT) in Bathalapalli, for 17 years. In addition to making our students experts in specific departments, we provide 2 to 3 months of specialized training at various secondary care and tertiary care hospitals nationwide.

We use advanced databases like Medicines Complete and Micromedex Solutions, Journals, textbooks, guidelines, and protocols, which are known for their comprehensive and reliable drug information. This expertise ensures that our team can provide accurate and evidence-based responses to inquiries, assisting in preventing and managing drug-related issues and poisonings.

Our services are more than just a resource; they act as a catalyst for change. We provide healthcare professionals with detailed information on drug interactions, side effects, adverse events, dosages, and poison management protocols, empowering them to make informed decisions that enhance patient care and safety.
