Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at RIPER was established in 2004 to advance research and education in pharmaceutical sciences. We emphasize academic excellence, research, and development, which is reflected in the achievements of both faculty and students. Our curriculum is designed to explore innovative approaches that improve theoretical and practical knowledge on drug synthesis & discovery. We provide a dynamic training environment with state-of-the-art in In silico drug design, New Chemical Entity synthesis, characterization, QSAR studies, toxicity prediction and extraction of natural products. Experienced faculty members and dedicated staff supervise these facilities, ensuring a rich learning experience. At RIPER, we are dedicated to staying abreast of industry advancements, preparing our students to lead in pharmaceutical sciences through rigorous academic programs and practical research opportunities.

- P. Ramalingam received the BIRAC – DBT (SRISTI) on Screening of mixture latex for oral effectiveness in the treatment of arthritis in 2016 (Grant amount: Rs. 1,00,000).
- Y. Padmanabha Reddy received UGC-Minor grant on Synthesis of Semi synthetic stilbenes and terpenoids for multi-drug resistance tuberculosis in 2016 (Grant amount: Rs. 60,000).
- M. Vijaya Jyothi received UGC-Minor grant on Discovery of synthetic & semi synthetic heterocyclic leads as anti tuberculars by green chemical methods in 2016 (Grant amountt: Rs. 1,00,000).
