Pharmacy)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Admission Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The admissions are done by the Regional Joint Director, State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Hyderabad based on the merit at the intermediate level. Candidate shall have passed Intermediate (Bi.P.C. or M.P.C.) or 12 years Higher Secondary Education Board Exam of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration of the Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>D.Pharmacy course is a two year program.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Bachelor of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Admission Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>First Year B. Pharmacy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective State\/Central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one of the subjects and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B \/ P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>B.\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Pharmacy Lateral Entry (to Third Semester)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A pass in D. Pharmacy programme from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration of the Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The course of study for B. Pharmacy shall extend over a period of eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. The curricula and syllabus for the program shall be prescribed from time to time by Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Master of Pharmacy (M. Pharmacy)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Admission Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>B. Pharmacy degree examination of an Indian University established by law in India from an institution approved by\u00a0 Pharmacy\u00a0 Council\u00a0 of\u00a0 India\u00a0 and\u00a0 has\u00a0 scored\u00a0 not\u00a0 less\u00a0 than\u00a0 55%\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 maximum\u00a0 marks\u00a0 (aggregate\u00a0 of\u00a0 four years of B. Pharmacy).<\/p>\n<p>Provided that \u2013<\/p>\n<p>a) There shall be\u00a0 reservation\u00a0 of\u00a0 seats\u00a0 for\u00a0 the\u00a0 students\u00a0 belonging\u00a0 to\u00a0 the\u00a0 Scheduled\u00a0 Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government\/State Government\/Union Territory Administration, as the case may be, from time to time.<\/p>\n<p>b) For SC\/ST candidates\u00a0 the\u00a0 prescribed\u00a0 percentage\u00a0 of\u00a0 marks\u00a0 will\u00a0 be\u00a0 50%\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B. Pharmacy).<\/p>\n<p>c) Every student, selected\u00a0 for\u00a0 admission\u00a0 to\u00a0 postgraduate\u00a0 pharmacy\u00a0 course\u00a0 in\u00a0 any\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 pharmacy\u00a0 institution\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 country\u00a0 should\u00a0 have\u00a0 obtained\u00a0 Registration\u00a0 with\u00a0 the\u00a0 State Pharmacy\u00a0 Council\u00a0 or\u00a0 should\u00a0 obtain\u00a0 the\u00a0 same\u00a0 within \u00a0one\u00a0 month\u00a0 from\u00a0 the\u00a0 date\u00a0 of\u00a0 his admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.<\/p>\n<p>d) The admission is based on GPAT\/ PGECET\/ PIO\/ FN\/ Management categories and is subjected reservation policy of the government from time to time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration of the Programme<\/strong><\/p>\n<table width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"26%\"><strong>Duration<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"73%\">2 years<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"26%\"><strong>Semesters<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"73%\">4 semesters (each semester will be not less than 20 week including examinations provided the academic calendar structured to fulfil 90 instruction days excluding examinations.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"26%\"><strong>Mode<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"73%\">Full-time<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"26%\"><strong>Total credits<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"73%\">75<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"26%\"><strong>Maximum duration<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"73%\">Period equal to twice the prescribed duration (4 years)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h4><strong>Doctor of\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Pharmacy (Pharm.D)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Admission Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>10+2 examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the two subjects: Mathematics or Biology.<\/li>\n<li>A pass in D. Pharmacy programme from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.<\/li>\n<li>Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.<\/li>\n<li>Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0December of the year of admission to the course.<\/li>\n<li>Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government\/State Government\/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Duration of the Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The duration of the Program shall be six academic years (five years of study and one year of internship or residency). The period of six years duration is divided into two phases \u2013<\/p>\n<p>Phase I: Consisting of First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth academic year.<\/p>\n<p>Phase II: Consisting of internship or residency training during sixth year involving posting in specialty units. It is a phase of training wherein a student is exposed to actual pharmacy practice or clinical pharmacy services and acquires skill under supervision of a preceptor so that he or she may become capable of functioning independently.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Doctor of Pharmacy (Post Baccalaureate) \u2013 Pharm.D (PB)\u00a0<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Admission Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A pass in B. Pharmacy from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.<\/li>\n<li>Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government\/State Government\/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Duration of the Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The duration of the course shall be for three academic years (two years of study and one year internship or residency).
